I want to first explain how the formula works, but at the same time not bore you with mathematical equations. The ranking that carries the most weight in the formula is the 4 year average for each teams recruiting classes. I use this to determine talent level coming in versus the talent leaving the program at the time. This is also determined by players leaving the ACC that effect several offensive and defensive categories. The percentages are the number of returning players in comparison to the players performances in the previous season. I first created this formula last year while helping post for a facebook page on college sports. Now I share this formulas with you to enjoy, as my ACC breakdowns will begin at the end of this week and continue until each team is broken down individually in order of final standings as I see them. My Breakdown may not match these computer generated rankings, however I do see some similarities in the strength of teams. Here is the Fornula's results for the 2015 ACC regular season.
